Every year, the famous Forbes magazine issues the ranking of the wealthiest people in the world. Here is a map listing the top 50 richest people in 2017 according to their place of birth. Wealth is growing or decreasing just like shares on the stock market. This map indicates wealth in billion dollars at a specific point in time (when the 2017 Forbes ranking was issued). Since then, the ranking may have changed.
